House Hunting
So, we went and looked at a house today that I LOVE! I wanted to share some pics. The house can be bought with the property that it sits on, 2 acres....Or it can be bought with a total of 5 acres....OR with a total of 10 acres! It's on a dead end road, which is wonderful. There is a pond across the street and one included in the additional property. It's about 2400 sq ft with a detached workshop/garage also. So, here's some pics....please, feedback will be GREATLY appreciated!!

Catch Up Time
Well, school's done for the semester, time to catch up this blog! So, what have we all been up to lately? I'm gonna have to think about that for a minute, lol! Lets see, at the end of April we went to Disney on Ice at Alltel, that was OK. I think Jake really liked though. He liked the FIFTEEN dollar peter pan sword that did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING better than the whole show though. Here's a few from that...
My friend Stephanie is getting married in a couple of weeks so we had her wedding shower the weekend before last...the food was awesome! I didn't even have room for CAKE! She's having her bachelorette party this weekend in Memphis. So for the first time ever (I think!) Tom is keeping Jake for me to have a "pleasure" (as opposed to business) weekend! Keep checking back for those pictures....they may be interesting! But for now, here's a few from the shower, and one from the night before.
Yesterday, Tom and I had our engagements pictures made at the Old Mill in Little Rock. Of course I'm extremely anxious to see those! We had a whole bunch made with Jake too, it was our first family portrait session together! We'll be able to view them online when they get posted, message me for the website and password if you want to see :)
Funny, since it's been so long I thought I'd have a lot to write about, but honestly, I can't think of anything! All I'm doing now is waiting, rather impatiently, for grades to be posted. I can't believe they're not yet, NONE of them are! Oh well....maybe tomorrow. Alright, I'm gonna go update my myspace now, since it's been forever since I've done that too! So, until next time......have a great day!

Lightning Strikes
SO, yesterday was a great day!! Oh yeah....all except for THAT.
Started off taking Jake to the dentist yesterday morning which went great. They are slowly getting him acclimated to the whole process. He let Mrs. Lyndsay polish a few of his teeth with the "toothbrush" that they use there. The Dr said everything looked great, but that his back teeth have some pretty deep grooves in them so we'll have to be extra attentive when brushing back there. (I have caps on my back teeth b/c they had such deep grooves and are so cavity prone....so it's mommy's fault) Anyhow, after that, I treated my men to Stoby's and we had a good lunch. We got to sit in the train car so Jake was thrilled. After that, I ran Tom back home, then went to meet my friend (names are not being used to protect the embarrassed :)) and we headed to Conway. First we went and did a little shopping at Target, then we went to Playworld. After the kids were worn out, we went and had an awesome dinner at Marketplace. Then it was off to Kohl's where I got myself a couple of much needed tops and a pair of denim carpi's. After we were done and got loaded up in the car (while we were still in the parking lot) my friend got a phone call. "Hey did you know that there's a HUGE storm headed this way? You probably won't make it to Russellville before you hit it". GREAT. Anyone who knows me knows my anxiety about storms and cars. So I let her drive and popped TWO of my anxiety meds to get me through the ride home. (FYI, I only take them in these kind of circumstances, it's not an everyday thing.) As we approached Russellville we got more and more hopeful that we could make it home before it started, even though the lightning was getting so bright and so close....it still wasn't raining. So, paranoid, freaked out, and watching the Weather Channel on my phone the whole way home....we finally made it to the exit by Flying J and then turned on that road right past the Shell station and still no rain! Before we made it to that curve, you couldn't even see the road in front of you. It set in so quick and so forceful that she couldn't even turn on the windshield wipers before we were blinded by the wind and rain. But we're still going to try to make it home, we have no choice at this point right? We made it to Alaskan Trail and then the lightning struck. It was the closest, brightest, most unbelievable lightning I have EVER seen in my life. It was like someone was holding a camera 2 inches from my face and took a picture with the flash on. Afterwards, I was blind, everything was black, and then I saw "spots"!! I swear that lightning had to have struck somewhere within 10 yards from our car. It was the scariest thing ever. So now what's going to happen!? That road is filled with trees and power lines, and we can't see 10 feet in front of the car from all the wind, rain, and hail! In a panic to prevent an accident and help the kids from freaking out, I said just pull over, right here in this driveway. But it was a long driveway, also filled with trees. So she drove all the way up the driveway and parked right in front of their garage! Worried these people that we don't know are going to start freaking out that there's some strangers parked next to their house (and also because the kids were scared) I got out and ran to the front door and knocked. Thank goodness they answered! I asked if we could just get our kids out of the car and stand in their garage until it passed. (We were also worried that a tree was gonna blow over and land on the car) They were really nice and let us in. Turns out they are good friends with the neighbors I grew up next to when I lived on Crow Mt and they go to First Free Will Baptist which is where Jake goes to daycare. So, we stayed there about 10-15 minutes and then it was over. Well, the storm was anyways, I was still a nervous wreck. I probably couldn't have even written my name if my life had depended on it because my hands were shaking so bad! I can't remember being that scared in a Thunderstorm. Needless to say I was also SOAKING wet just from running to the front door. I mean, DRIPPING with water. When we got back in the car to leave, my drivers side rugs were soaked, Jake's car seat was soaked, the bags were soaked, all from just opening the door to get him out. This morning, Tom had to take out my floor mats and lay them in the garage to dry because they were STILL soaked! Wow....I'm even getting a little worked up writing this! I know, I have issues...but everyone does right?? This just happens to be mine :)
Anyways, I slept good last night. Even though the anxiety meds didn't help DURING the storm, once it was over I was able to relax quicker than I probably would have been able to had I not taken them. I fell asleep about 5 minutes after I got in bed, which was about 10:15, and I didn't wake up one single time throughout the night. (Which is also a first, I usually wake up at least 5 or 6 times throughout). Hell, I barely woke up for class this morning! So it's been a good day so far. We're going to the Passion Play tonight, it'll be Jake's first time. I think he'll like it. And I'm really looking forward to Easter this Sunday (even though it's supposed to storm then too, but as long as I am HOME, I'm OK). So, I'm sure I'll have some pics to post next week, until then....Have a great weekend, HAPPY EASTER!

Spring Break
So it's the last day of my LAST Spring Break in College! Even though I'm sad the break is over, it's kind of exciting when I put it that way. My Aunt Sue flew out to visit with me. We had BIG plans of doing wedding shopping, spot picking, hotel searching, and all of that fun stuff, but in reality.....we really didn't do much of anything! I think we were both overdue for some much needed R&R. We did get a lot of Vegas research done though, thanks to Stephanie and her laptop. (Yes, mine is not working AGAIN.) Outside of surfing the web for hours, Nanny did take Jake and make a few trips to Wal Mart. That boy is spoiled rotten. Rotten Rotten Rotten! So in return I have gotten her absolutly addicted the Investigation Discovery channel. (ID.) She watches them over and over and over! And I have to admit, I've seen a few. They are pretty interesting!
Anyhow, to totally change the subject. Tom has promised Jake a bike that he saw at Wal Mart. It's a bicycle that looks like a motorcycle. Now, that IF and WHEN Jake can start sleeping in his own bed, all night, without coming in Mommy and Daddy's room in the middle of the night. So, tonight we made a chart. 30 boxes for 30 days and every night that he sleeps in his own room ALL NIGHT....he gets a sticker. When the chart is full of stickers he gets his bike! Hopefully this will get him sleeping by himself. I am SOOOOO ready for my own goodnight's sleep! Alright, enough babbleing, here's a couple of pics of Jake and Nanny. She also bought him a cowboy hat.
Oh yeah, I also forgot to mention that we added a new baby to our collection. One of my female sugar gliders had a baby. It is SOOOOO stinkin cute! And much sweeter than the girls I took off of my dad's hands! Here's some pictures or him or her.

Outside of surfing the web for hours, Nanny did take Jake and make a few trips to Wal Mart. That boy is spoiled rotten. Rotten Rotten Rotten! So in return I have gotten her absolutly addicted the Investigation Discovery channel. (ID.) She watches them over and over and over! And I have to admit, I've seen a few. They are pretty interesting!
Anyhow, to totally change the subject. Tom has promised Jake a bike that he saw at Wal Mart. It's a bicycle that looks like a motorcycle. Now, that IF and WHEN Jake can start sleeping in his own bed, all night, without coming in Mommy and Daddy's room in the middle of the night. So, tonight we made a chart. 30 boxes for 30 days and every night that he sleeps in his own room ALL NIGHT....he gets a sticker. When the chart is full of stickers he gets his bike! Hopefully this will get him sleeping by himself. I am SOOOOO ready for my own goodnight's sleep! Alright, enough babbleing, here's a couple of pics of Jake and Nanny. Oh yeah, I also forgot to mention that we added a new baby to our collection. One of my female sugar gliders had a baby. It is SOOOOO stinkin cute! And much sweeter than the girls I took off of my dad's hands! Here's some pictures or him or her.

Good Doctor News
Well Jake had his Allergy and Asthma appointment today. It's been booked for 6 weeks. As some of you know, for SEVERAL months last year and the first couple this year, Jacob has dealt with a fairly chronic cough, mostly stimulated by exercise or exertion. Actually though, about the past 2-3 weeks it's been WAY better, almost completly gone! And if we hadn't have had this appointment booked for so long I may have even considered not taking him, but since did, I did. It was good news in the fact that his allergy tests were all negative. As of now Jake was showing no reactions to any of the allergy stimuli. So, it's good that he doesn't have allergies (yet) but a little confusing as to what was trigging or causing the cough. Since he was 6 months old we've been told he has "allergy induced asthma". Well, I got sick of hearing that and nothing being done, so 2 months ago I switched doctors and that's when they sent us to the specialist. So, I'm glad everything was normal today and maybe that horrible cough will stay gone! She suggested we test him again in a year, but we'll see. Anyhow, although everything was great, the whole process for Jake is a whole other story! They did the skin testing on him and he was SCREAMING before the even stuck him! He was screaming when they wiped him with alcohol! Poor Baby. But we got through it and then went to Hog Wild and ate some pizza and played games. Here's a picture I got with my phone while he was laying on me to let that stuff sit for 20 minutes. He's laying on me because I had to wrap my legs around him and hold him down!

Valentine's and what not
So it's been a couple of weeks since I've been on here again. Everyday just seems crazy busy and when it's not, I just want to chill....and I usually forget to think about blogging. So lets see, what's been going on here? Well, I've bought my wedding dress, it's PERFECT! But I can't post a picture on here cause Tom will see it. Sorry baby ;-) Also, I think we've pretty much decided we're going to get married in Las Vegas! We'll have a small ceremony, with family and a few friends, but it will be GREAT! Hmmm, what else? Well, February makes 4 months for Tom of not smoking! YEA! It's almost time to start working on that dipping honey.
Last night we went out with our friends Shane and Stephanie to Fuji's in Conway for a Valentine's Day dinner. As always, the food was awesome, but we had to wait an hour and 15 minutes to get sat!
Jake's growing like a weed. Everyday he surprises me with something he says. Simple answers are not enough for him anymore! For instance, this morning he was asking me where his valenine's day chocolate was, I told him he couldn't have any until after he ate some breakfast. He said, "but where is it momma?" I said it's put up. "Where?" It's put up baby. "Where's it put up at momma?" AHHHHH!!! He's getting TOOOOO Big. Yesterday he went to Tom and said, "Daddy, when I get older, can I get a real gun?" Of course you know fire marshall Tom, safety nut, was like, "We'll see if they still make them then honey." I just laughed and said, "Jake, if you do, you'll need to go ask Uncle John to teach you how to shoot one!"
