Well, the new man has finally made his arrival! It was a long, hard pregnancy but it's over now, thank goodness. He made his appearance August 15th, @ 2:17PM weighing 7lbs 7oz and 20 3/4in long. The labor and delivery were surprisingly easy though. I couldn't believe how fast and pain free it was, thanks to the technology of epidurals of course :) I didn't even sweat!! Now I get to have sleepless nights for another reason other than the tube that was coming out of my back. Although, I still have some pretty bad back pain frequently, at least it's not CONSTANTLY and I can do many more things now without it. I feel much better, but still have some healing to do. We are leaving for dad's Saturday morning, I hope the trip is good to me. I'm ready to get out there and start getting things in order. Tom will join me around labor day. It's a huge new chapter in our lives, we are looking forward to it and ready to embrace whatever it brings! I will miss everyone here, but those who know us best know that this is probably the best opportunity we could ask for. We are thankful for it.
On another note, Jake has his 5th birthday party tonight. Since Daniel has been born it has made me look at Jacob so differently. He is just SOO big to me now! I can't look at him as "my baby" anymore. He's now officially the big boy, the big brother, and he definately lets you know it. He will start kindergarten on Monday, which is his actual birthday. *Sniff Sniff* Can you believe it?! He's excited though. He's also very ready to see his cousins, he misses them bunches! There's so much to do today....not sure how it's going to get all done, but things have a tendency to work out. So enough babbling, here are some pics of the newest baby man, the daddies (mine and the boys', lol), the big brother, some friends, and of course, Mommy. Even though the labor was pretty simple, I still look rough.....I was admitted the day before for the severe back pain...that's my excuse :) ENJOY!
