Current Events
Well, Christmas is creeping up closer and closer. We still have some shopping left to do, but for the most part it's almost taken care of. Thanks to my bubs, we took some family photos the other night that I will post at the end of this. We did them here at our house, and I couldn't think of a better background setting that I would want! They turned out great, I'm so happy. Christmas cards to go out soon (actually, some went out today, but I ran out of stamps, :0)
So there's something I'm concerned with that I felt the need to blog about. As most of you know we have been through a lot of changes in the past few months. But I am mostly concerned with Jake. He's gone through so much and how much do they really understand at that age? He's moved across country, gotten a new brother after being an only child for 5 years, lived with Grandpa for a few weeks, moved to our own house and trying to get reacclaimated, started a new grade and a new school with ALL new people, he's trying to get used to Daddy being gone during the day with his new job, and the list goes on and on. So, he's having a lot of anxiety lately, mostly at night time about going to bed. I stongly believe it's because of all that is going on. Some nights I really feel that he's "scared to death". The fear in his eyes is disturbing. Anyhow, we are dealing the best we can and trying to be patient with him, although some nights it's very trying. Soooo....to make this all worse, I got a letter in the mail that they will be changing his teacher/class in January. I am concerned because Jake is so shy and reserved that he has a hard time making friends and opening up to new people. I am worried that this move will only be a negative impact. He only has one little friend that he really plays with everyday in his current class....what if he doesn't get moved too?? I am really striving for consistancy and schedules and structures....and then this!! I don't know what to do. I have emailed his teacher and CC'ed it to the principal but I haven't heard back (I just did it last night). What do you all think??
So on a more positive note....Daniel is continuing to sleep ALL through the night (8 or 9pm to 6 or 7am!) in his crib! Today is his 4 month "birthday". He gets shots tomorrow :( But I cannot tell you all what a GREAT baby he is! There is hardly ever any fussing! It's amazing! Not only is he rarely fussy, but he's HAPPY...ALL the time!! Always, smiling, laughing, etc. All you have to do is look at him and he smiles! And he cuddles and he's just so stinkin' sweet! It took Jake about 1 1/2 years to be that sweet, lol.
So I'll hush now, he's the Christmas pictures I was telling you about. And please, any feedback on the Jacob situation is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas
So it's been a fairly busy month. We had a great visit with Tom's sister and her family over the Thanksgiving break. Hopefully they can make it back out before too awful long!
We've got all of the furniture moved in and everything in place. Now we just have a bajillon boxes to go through. I'm pretty sure about 75% of it is stuff we can get rid of. Heck, I'm not actually missing anything at the moment so it's obviously stuff I can live without!
Daniel with have his 4 month birthday this month :) What to get a 4 month old for his first Christmas? Hmmmmmm
Jake is getting pretty excited about Christmas. We got our tree and decorations up last week. I must say, the stuff does look pretty good in this house. I asked Jake yesterday what he was going to ask Santa for....he told me, "I'm not telling you......it's a surprise" !! Well then. Guess I'm gonna have to do some digging, lol.
I'm hoping to try to make a visit back to AR sometime at the end of January or in February, but we'll see if it all works out.
Tom started his new position at Palo Verde yesterday. So far he loves it! He gets to do Data Analysis and whatnot. He gets a new computer with dual monitors if he wants. It's a desk job (in a cubicle) so definately something different than what he's been used to. I'm glad he's going to like it.
Tom and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary last month (Nov 21). We didn't do much. Just a movie. We went to see Due Date at the recommendation of EVERYBODY! It was pretty good. I still think I like The Hangover better though, lol.
Anyhow, guess I'll post some pics of the most recent happenings. I'll try to continue updating more frequently. ENJOY!
